Maria Zakharova clarifies her statement on Turkey’s participation in Nagorno Karabakh conflict
settlement process

YEREVAN, JULY 22, ARMENPRESS. There are international mechanisms, in particular the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship for the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement, “Armenpress” reports, Russian MFA official representative Maria Zakharova posted a note in her Facebook page commenting on the information spread in the media which said she announced that Turkey can participate in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement process if it will have constructive input on that.

“I cannot understand a stance of a number of journalists (of course, not everyone’s) from Armenia and Azerbaijan. You want to overcome the conflict or to deepen it inventing news based on Your taste. It is a dangerous activity”, she said.

She said at the press conference she was asked about the situation in Azerbaijan, Armenia and Turkey, “which was more like a political manifesto which I had to disrupt”.

“For all those who are trying to spread disinformation and destabilize the situation over the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement process I will once again repeat: international mechanisms, in particular the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship exist for the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement”, she writes.

Zakharova said at the same time bilateral contacts are also possible during which each state can discuss every issue related to the internal and external policy. “The issue is how constructive role the countries play that are not a part of the settlement process, whether they are trying to contribute to the settlement”, Maria Zakharova writes calling not to be subjected to provocations, including informational provocations as well.
