YEREVAN, AUGUST 25, ARMENPRESS. Turkey’s military operations have one goal: to eliminate or neutralize the Kurdish movement, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Arman Navasardyan said, reports “Armenpress”.

“Formally, Turkey really began military operations against the Islamic State, but this is a formality. The major aim of this is to stop or eliminate the Kurdish movement. The Turks do not deny that after capturing Jarabulus city, they are going to start military operations along the entire length of Syria’s border”, Navasardyan said.

He said Turkey has made a gross violation of the international law.

“This, in fact, is a military aggression. The US and Russia have very interesting stance over this issue. Russia broke the IS’s backbone which enabled the Turks to start attack at the city. On the other hand, the US changed its stance towards the Kurds”, he said.

On August 24 the Turkish army has started military operations for liberating Syrian city of Jarabulus. The Turkish aircrafts carry out airstrikes against the IS’s targets.
