YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 20, ARMENPRESS. On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Armenia’s Independence the exhibition “From Genocide to the Restoration of Independence” was held in the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute.

Rare Armenian historical flags and coats of arms made in 18-20th centuries by the Armenian orphans after the Genocide were presented at the exhibition.

“Nearly 10 years were required for holding the exhibition. These exhibits are our national description. This is the completion of our standby state. These items are unique bearers of state symbols”, Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute Hayk Demoyan said, reports “Armenpress”.

He said most of the artifacts are presented for the first time.

Carpets, engravings, posters, silver items, stamps, postcards, books and albums, as well as various compositions with the image of “Mother Armenia” were among the artifacts.

The exhibition included items from the collections of different museums and cultural centers in Armenia such as ARF History Museum, “Ararat Eskijian” Museum, Armenian American Museum, Armenian National Archive, History Museum of Armenia, National Library of Armenia and etc.

The exhibits are summarized in Hayk Demoyan’s “Armenian National Symbols” book the copies of which were distributed to the soldiers in the borders, as well as to all education institutions and museums of Armenia and Diaspora.
