Armenian PM receives Public Council’s members

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 24, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan on September 24 received members of the Public Council led by President of the Council Vazgen Manukyan, press service of the Government informed “Armenpress”.

The PM attached importance to such meetings which enable to discuss the public’s issues of concern, our country’s development prospects, the possible challenges and solution ways.

On behalf of the Public Council Vazgen Manukyan congratulated Karen Karapetyan on the appointment to the Prime Minister’s post and wished him productive work.

A wide range of issues related to the current situation of Armenia’s economy, the existing issues and development ways were discussed at the meeting. In particular, issues related to the economic policy, management efficiency, small and medium enterprises, education and science, the banking system and other sectors were covered during the talk. Several proposals over the raised issues were presented to the PM.

The PM said the new Government considers the public as a partner, and from this perspective the Public Council is one of the bridges through which the Government will have a dialogue with the public. The PM also informed the members the Government is making a number of structural changes which have a serious content and targeted functions.  

At the end of the discussion Karen Karapetyan asked the members to present concrete proposals and programs with the assessment of visible results.
