YEREVAN, OCTOBER 21, ARMENPRESS. Artsakh’s (NKR) participation in negotiation process is an objective necessity, Foreign Minister of Artsakh Karen Mirzoyan told the reporters after meeting with EU Special Representative Herbert Salber.

“Artsakh’s participation in the negotiation process is neither a desire nor a demand. It is an objective necessity. The ongoing developments come to document once again that expecting a real progress in the negotiation process without Artsakh’s full participation is unrealistic”, “Armenpress” reports Karen Mirzoyan saying.

Foreign Minister of Arttsakh Karen Mirzoyan also referred to the latest incident on Karabakh-Azerbaijan contact line, noting that it is a very dangerous signal.

“It once again shows how important the immediate implementation of the Vienna and St. Petersburg agreements is. In the upcoming days the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs will visit Artsakh. We will present our assessments and positions over the past developments. As always we expect the talks will go on in an open atmosphere”, the Minister added.

Referring to the meeting with the EU Special Representative Herbert Salber, Minister Mirzoyan told that they have touched upon a number of issues referring the relations between Artsakh and the EU.

“Of course, we could not bypass the present situation of the negotiation process. In that context, we highlighted the immediate implementation of the Vienna and St. Petersburg agreements. We also touched upon a number of other issues on the agenda of our meetings”, he said.
