Government tends to record higher economic growth instead of promised 3.2% in 2017

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 23, ARMENPRESS. Armenia’s Government tends to ensure higher economic growth instead of the promised 3.2% in 2017, Finance Minister Vardan Aramyan told reporters after the Cabinet session, reports “Armenpress”.

“We said that we will ensure at least 3.2% economic growth. The economic activity rate for the first month is 6.5%. I think that in these circumstances that 3.2% growth will be overcome. We tend to have a little higher economic growth from 3.2% if there are no negative signals from the outside world”, the Minister said.

Asked at the expense of what such higher growth can be achieved, the Minister said: “At the expense of the steps we are carrying out. For instance, you saw that today the Government approved a program which supposes concession of the state budget revenues to the economic entities in order they can carry out their investment programs”.
