2016 taxes comprise 21.3% in Armenia’s GDP

YEREVAN, MARCH 22, ARMENPRESS. In 2016 Armenia recorded 0.2% real economic growth and nominal GDP growth rate of 0.8%, Finance Minister Vardan Aramyan told reporters on March 22, reports “Armenpress”.

In terms of relative rates, the year of 2016 ended in collection of 1 trillion 80 billion taxes which is 21.3% in GDP.

“In this regard, we are ahead of the year since during a year 20.7% taxes/GDP rate were planned under the 2016 budget program. Concerning the budget deficit, what was announced in December 2016, was in accordance with our expectations. The deficit in GDP was 5.5%”, Minister Aramyan said.
