No quorum in Parliament, session cancelled

YEREVAN, MARCH 22, ARMENPRESS. The four-day sitting was cancelled in the Parliament of Armenia due to absence of quorum, reports “Armenpress”.

On March 22, as of 12:00, 15 MPs were registered for taking part in the session.

Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Hermine Naghdalyan recalled that according to the Parliament’s rules of procedure, if there is no quorum, the registration must continue until it is ensured but no more than 3 hours. She expressed hope that the busy MPs will complete their works within these 3 hours and will attend the session.

However, 3 hours later Parliament’s Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov said no quorum was ensured, thus the session is cancelled. “We will meet tomorrow morning at 12:00”, he said.
