Israel wants to have open and developed relations with Armenia

YEREVAN, MARCH 23, ARMENPRESS. Newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Israel to Armenia (residence in Jerusalem) Eliyahu Yerushalmi on March 23 presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan, press service of the President’s Office told “Armenpress”.

President Sargsyan congratulated the Ambassador and said Armenia’s leadership is ready to assist the Ambassador’s efforts on strengthening and developing the Armenian-Israeli ties. Serzh Sargsyan said the centuries old historical ties of the two peoples oblige to intensify and boost inter-state relations. The President attached importance to the recent certain activeness realized in inter-parliamentary and public relations.

In his turn Ambassador Yerushalmi said the message of Israel’s Government, with which he arrived in Armenia, is that Israel wants to have open and developed relations with Armenia, and he will make all efforts aimed at quickly implementing this message. The Ambassador said it is a great honor for him to serve for strengthening the old friendship of the two peoples and developing the inter-state ties.

During the meeting the sides discussed the prospect on expanding the Armenian-Israeli mutual partnership in various spheres. They also exchanged views on regional issues and developments.
