YEREVAN, APRIL 25, ARMENPRESS. A consultation took place at the Government of Armenia chaired by Premier Karen Karapetyan, focusing on issues of developing local production.

As “Armenpress” was informed from the press service of the Government of Armenia, Karen Karapetyan was briefed on the works aimed at import substitution. It was mentioned that at the moment the groups of goods that can be locally produced are being shortlisted. It was offered to create an appropriate platform where the producer will be able to find his consumer.

The PM noted that the issue should be taken seriously and added, “It’s necessary to develop a careful option not to hamper competitiveness, but we must help our producers with potential and prospects to develop, and we should foster export growth”, Karen Karapetyan said.
