Government plans radical reforms in Labor Code

YEREVAN, APRIL 27, ARMENPRESS. The Armenian government plans radical reforms in legislations relating to employment and labor.

PM Karapetyan said at the Cabinet meeting the minister of labor and social affairs, as well as the national center of legislation regulation have recently presented proposals on making changes in the Labor Code, which are aimed at easing the administrative burden for employers.

“Discussions of this projects showed that although they contain strictly necessary regulations, the problem is more deeply rooted, and the Labor Code needs radical revision”, Karapetyan said.

The PM instructed the justice minister and the minister of labor and social affairs to create a joint task force and present a new Labor Code or a draft for radical changes in the Code within 9 month.
