Armenia’s Embassy in Austria takes part in ‘Day of Armenian Studies’ scientific conference

YEREVAN, MAY 15, ARMENPRESS. Armenia’s Embassy in Austria on May 12 participated in the ‘Day of Armenian Studies; scientific conference in the Faculty of Theology at the University of Salzburg, press service of the Armenian MFA told Armenpress.

The conference was organized by the Christian East Study Center of the University led by Chair of the Department of Armenian Studies Jasmine Dum-Tragut and in partnership with the Armenian Embassy.

The conference was dedicated to the 25th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Austria. On behalf of the University’s rector, Vice Rector Fatima Ferreira Briza delivered a welcoming speech. Thereafter, the representative of the Armenian Embassy conveyed to the participants the message by Ambassador Arman Kirakosyan where he expressed gratitude to the university leadership for the special attention shown to Armenian studies, as well as for hosting this scientific meeting.

Scientists, researchers from the universities of Austria and a number of European countries, the US, Australia, as well as lecturers of YSU Faculty of Oriental Studies presented reports during the conference.

On behalf of the Armenian Embassy a reception was organized for the participants of the conference.
