YEREVAN, JUNE 28, ARMENPRESS.  During the June 28 session in the Central Bank’s Dilijan educational-research center, the CB Council decided to decrease the re-financing rate by 0.25% - defining it at 7.5%.

A 0.7% deflation was registered in May of 2016, compared to the last year’s 0.5%, in which case the 12 months inflation comprised -2.1%.

The slow pace of global economic growth was mainly maintained in the external sector, as well as the relative stability in international trade markets.

According to the CB, during upcoming months no significant inflation is forecasted from the external sector.

The CB Council says a relatively high economic activity in January-May continues in Armenia compared to last year’s same period.

In line with economic developments, the CB will accordingly clarify the monetary-credit policy directions.
