YEREVAN, AUGUST 27, ARMENPRESS. The Armenian Olympic delegation participating in the 31st Summer Olympic Games has returned to Armenia. “Armenpress” reports Doha-Yerevan flight landed in Yerevan’s Zvartnots airport at about 00:50. Armenian sport lovers welcomed Artur Aleksanyan, Mihran Harutyunyan, Simon Martirosyan, Gor Minasyan like real heroes.

People were chanting “Artur, Mihran, Simon, Gor champion” from all sides.

Hundreds of fans from different provinces of Armenia had come to welcome back the forerunners of Armenian sport.

Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan and members of the Government also came to welcome the Olympic delegation. The PM was the first to congratulate the sportsmen.

In an occasion Artur Aleksanyan handled his gold medal to Mihran Harutyunyan who bit the medal according to the Olympic habit. In this way Artur showed that Mihran is also a real champion, while the fans also met Mihran like a real champion. The sportsmen left to the Republican Square of Yerevan from where they will go to their native settlements.
