YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 29, ARMENPRESS. The United States doesn’t intend to refuse continuing the consultations with Russia aimed at preventing incidents between the air forces of the two countries over Syrian airspace, US State Department spokesman John Kirby said.

Kirby was commenting on Secretary of State John Kerry’s announcement, which stated that Washington might suspend bilateral cooperation with Moscow over Syria. Kerry made this statement in a phone conversation with Russian FM Lavrov on September 28.

According to Kirby, the dialogue over preventing incidents in the airspace of Syria “is another matter”.
