GYUMRI, OCTOBER 24, ARMENPRESS. Model Lilit Martirosyan has represented Armenia in the Miss Intercontinental 2016 contest held in Sri Lanka from October 3-18. The Armenian beauty has returned home with various awards and proposals. The Armenian beauty is originally from Gyumri.

65 countries submitted applications for the contest, however two were disqualified, thus only 63 models competed.

19 year old Heilymar Rosario Velázquez from Puerto Rico was announced winner of this year’s contest.

In addition to the main contest, various competitions were held, the most important of which being a contest organized by BIONA – a beauty product company, and the main sponsor of the Miss Intercontinental.

4 models were initially selected, and later BIONA chose Lilit Martirosyan as the winner with the best skin.

She was also one of the favorites of Missosology – a company analyzing beauty contests, and she often appeared in photos. As result, Lilit received numerous proposals from modeling agencies from Vienna, New York and Sri Lanka. New York’s “No.3 magazine” will soon publish an article on Lilit.

In an exclusive interview to ARMENPRESS, Lilit says she received a letter of appreciation for her creativity and participation in the “Cuisine challenge” contest.

Lilit Martirosyan was under the spotlight not only for her perfect skin and hair, but she was also the tallest among the models – 1.81 cm, and she also impressed the jury with her knowledge of languages – she speaks English, Russian, Iranian and Spanish.

During the contest Lilit wore a designer dress by July Khanjyan and Gayane Martirosyan, and bikini by designer Anushik Saroyan from Gyumri, and a national dress by Lilit Melikyan from the Teryan Culture Center. Martirosyan was wearing jewelry by designer Gayane Martirosyan, and she is thankful to all of them.

She also thanks dermatologists Arthur Chopuryan and Seda Tadevosyan.

“My skin was highly praised not only due to nature and genes, but also due to correct care”, she says.
