Armenian Parliament’s Deputy Speaker holds meeting with Georgian Ambassador

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 7, ARMENPRESS. Deputy Speaker of Armenia’s Parliament Hermine Naghdalyan on December 7 held a meeting with newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Armenia George Saganelidze, press service of the Parliament told “Armenpress”.

Deputy Speaker Naghdalyan congratulated the Ambassador and expressed confidence that he will do the utmost to further deepen and strengthen Armenia-Georgia ties.

Mrs. Naghdalyan stated that the cooperation between the two friendly states both in inter-state and inter-governmental platforms is at the highest level and in this context she attached importance to the visits of the high-ranking officials of the two states.

Naghdalyan highlighted that in recent years the Armenian-Georgian parliamentary ties and mutual visits have intensified and expressed hope Georgia-Armenia friendship group will be created in Georgia’s newly formed Parliament.

Naghdalyan stated: “Armenia can be a bridge for Georgia towards the EAEU, and Georgia as a European region for Armenia”.

A number of issues related to the development prospects of trade-economic ties, boosting cooperation in various sectors, the possibility of establishing joint enterprises, implementing joint projects between the business circles, as well as regional issues were discussed.

The sides attached importance to the cooperated work between the delegations in the inter-parliamentary platforms.

The Georgian Ambassador expressed readiness to have his significant contribution to further deepening and strengthening the bilateral ties.
