YEREVAN, JULY 28, ARMENPRESS: The ruling of the International Court of Justice about Kosovo is a good opportunity to show the international community that the recognition of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic is not against the international right, head of the ARF Armenian Cause and political affairs office Kiro Manoyan said today at a news conference, adding that the ruling of the court does not only refer to Kosovo.

YEREVAN, JULY 27, ARMENPRESS: For reaching international recognition of the independence of the Nagorno Karabakh first of all serious financial investments are necessary, deputy head of the Russia’s geo-political affairs academy Ara Sargsyan said, informing that for reaching Kosovo’s independence the oligarchs of that country invested millions of dollars thanks to which different international diplomats and experts carried out extended propaganda work throughout the world. “Only Albanian oligarch Khashim Tacin paid well-known diplomat Machti Akhtisarii 250 million USD,” Ara Sargsyan said. 

YEREVAN, JULY 27, ARMENPRESS: “From the viewpoint of international right the Kosovo precedent is very beneficial for us in respect of the solution of the Artsakh issue,” political analyst Levon Shirinyan told Armenpress, pointing out that the NKR has established state on its historic territory. “We must get use of this convenient opportunity but we must also be alert in respect of diplomatic and international right,” the political analyst said. 

YEREVAN, JULY 26, ARMENPRESS: All the statements made during the Nagorno Karabakh conflict negotiation process make it obvious that the international community sees the settlement of the issue within the framework of the three points of the Final Helsinki Act, vice chairman of the Armenian parliament Samvel Nikoyan stated today at the meeting with reporters, pointing out that the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk group and the presidents of the co-chairing countries stated that these points – non-usage of force, territorial integrity and self-determination of nations do not contradict to each other and none of them dominates over the other. 

YEREVAN, JULY 23, ARMENPRESS: Two representatives of the Holy See of St. Etchmiadzin will participate in the September 19 Liturgy in the St. Cross Church of the Akhtamar. Director of the Holy See press service Rev. Vahram Melikyan told Armenpress that the turning of the church into a museum rose a wave of discontent not only in the Armenian Apostolic Church but also among the Armenians all over the world. In 2007 the Turkish government restored and reopened the Armenian St. Cross Church on the Akhtamar Island of Lake Van as a museum. The opening ceremony was done without prayer that is why the Holy See of St. Etchmiadzin did not participate in it. 

YEREVAN, JULY 21, ARMENPRESS: The increase of GDP (gross domestic product) by 6.7% in the first quarter of the current year is a good result, according to Gagik Minasyan, chairman of the NA’s finance-crediting and budget affairs standing committee.
