VANADZOR, AUGUST 31, ARMENPRESS: The Russian school of Fioletovo village of Lori province has been repaired on the initiative of the Russian Embassy in Armenia by the funding of “South Caucasus Railway” company. This educational establishment has been constructed in 1969 and has been repaired for the last time in 1988 after the Spitak earthquake by constructors arrived from Volgograd. This year the technical workers of the school, 10 residents of Fioletovo and neighboring Margahovit village have partook in the repair, and in some works – even the teachers of the school. 

GAVAR, AUGUST 27, ARMENPRESS: Ashot Mihranyan, who is a former resident of Upper Getashen village of the province of Gegharkunik and is engaged in business abroad, granted to his home village 60 thousand USD. The sum was used for the construction of a 12km-long lighting network. 

GYUMRI, AUGUST 27, ARMENPRESS: “Day of Open Doors” was conducted today in the medical establishments of Shirak province on the initiative of the Armenian Republican Party. The specialists arrived from Yerevan conducted diverse consultations in Gyumri – in the hospitals of “Berlin”, “Mother and Child”, “Children’s Austrian”, “Karmir Khach”, “Maternity Hospital”, and in a number of medical establishments of a number of province communities. The residents were informed about the initiative beforehand. 

YEREVAN, AUGUST 27, ARMENPRESS: The Historical-Cultural Heritage Scientific-Research Center subordinated to the Armenian Culture Ministry has registered noteworthy results after the wide-scale researches carried out in Lori Berd village. Director of the center Hakob Simonyan told Armenpress that the site dates back to the 10-17th centuries. As a result of the excavations, the walls of 24 m height and 20 m width have opened. 

YEREVAN, AUGUST 26, ARMENPRESS: A memorandum of friendship and cooperation was signed today in Sevan, province of Gegharkunik, between the cities of Sevan, Armenia and Brodnitsa, Poland. The memorandum was signed between Mayor of Sevan Gevorg Malkhasyan and Zislava Marcinyak, head of information and advertisement agency of Municipality of Brodnitsa. 

GYUMRI, AUGUST 26, ARMENPRESS: Some departments of Gyumri higher educational establishments can be closed because of the absence of students. This year Gyumri’s M. Nalbandyan State Pedagogical Institute and some departments of the Gyumri branch of the Yerevan State Architectural University face the issue. 

YEREVAN, AUGSUT 24, ARMENPRESS: A labor fair will be conducted September 8 in Gyumri town of Shirak province on the initiative of the “State Employment Service” agency of the Armenian Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. Head of the job consultation and information department of the agency Tsoghik Bezhanyan told Armenpress that about 35 employers will participate in the fair, who will present vacancies of the spheres of production, trade, supply, etc.

YEREVAN, AUGSUT 23, ARMENPRESS: Twenty years ago this day the Supreme Council of Armenia adopted a very important document for the history of Armenia – the Independence Declaration, doctor of historical sciences, professor, dean of the History of the Yerevan State University Edik Minasyan said today at a meeting with journalists, adding that it is a program package, which consists of 12 points and political, economic and cultural parts. The historian noted that the 1990 parliamentary elections were the first alternative elections in the history of the Soviet Armenia, as a result of which, besides the Armenian communist party, the representatives of the Armenian National Movement entered into the parliament. 

GYUMRI, AUGUST 21, ARMENPRESS: A Cultural Day of Ulyanovsk province was conducted August 20 in Shirak province. Before presenting the Russian culture to the Armenian spectator, the Russian delegation participated in the opening of “Hill of Honor” memorial complex – symbol of the Armenian-Russian friendship. The idea of founding this memorial complex developed last year during the visit of the delegation of Ulyanovsk province to Gyumri.

The general thematic spectrum of the fifth summer seminar is the presentation of community art. The program of the seminar is comprised of everyday lectures, discussions and presentations.

YEREVAN, AUGUST 17, ARMENPRESS: State-funded labor fair, organized upon the initiative of the state labor service of RA labor and social affairs ministry, will be held August 18 in Ijevan, province of Tavush. An official from RA state labor service told Armenpress that the fair is aimed at suggesting job seekers to meet with employers, get acquainted with labor projects for the unemployed, as well giving employers an opportunity to find specialists with corresponding skills.

Head of the mentioned department Narek Sargsyan told Armenpress that workshops are intended, during which the community will first of all be informed about that, the employees of the department will be committed to be present at all the court sittings concerning children.

The festival is designed and conducted by the students of the ‘Designing and Covering Art’ educational project of Art Critics Association as a graduate work.

YEREVAN, AUGUST 12, ARMENPRESS: Training on 'Efficient Democratic Administration and Formation of Council' was held August 10-12 at the Tavush Provincial Center for Organization of Youth Events of RA Sports and Youth Affairs Ministry’s. All the employees of the centers for organization of youth events of RA provinces partook in the training. The training was given by a number of experienced trainers.
