Embassy in Romania provides assistance to Armenians fleeing Ukraine
13:42, 23 March 2022YEREVAN, MARCH 23, ARMENPRESS. The Embassy of Armenia in Romania is providing assistance to Armenian citizens and ethnic Armenian Ukrainian citizens who are crossing from Ukraine into Romania.
A temporary consular office of the Armenian Embassy is working since March 1 in Botoşani, a Romanian city near the Ukrainian and Moldovan borders.
The consular office provided support to hundreds of Armenians so far.
The Embassy said it is closely cooperating with the Romanian authorities.
Humanitarian support is provided to Armenians with support from both foreign volunteers and the Armenian community of Romania, namely from Botoşani, Baia Mare, Iași and Suceava and Tulcea.
