YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 19, ARMENPRESS. The 9th Armenian-Russian Inter-Regional Forum was held in Yerevan today chaired by Deputy Prime Ministers of the two countries Mher Grigoryan and Alexei Overchuk.

The Forum was held under the title “Armenian-Russian Cooperation: New Challenges and Opportunities”.

During the Forum the Armenian and Russian Deputy PMs delivered remarks.

Messages were addressed by Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan and President of Russia Vladimir Putin.

“The inter-regional cooperation between Armenia and Russia plays an important role in the development of the allied strategic partnership between our countries, contributing to the further expansion of the potential of the bilateral cooperation”, the Armenian PM said in his message.

“Traditionally, the inter-regional cooperation is considered to be the significant component of the Russian-Armenian relations. The regions of Russia and the provinces of Armenia are actively cooperating in economic, social, scientific, humanitarian and other areas, are successfully implementing major joint projects and initiatives”, the Russian President said in his message.

At the end of the Forum, Armenian Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Vache Terteryan and Russian Deputy Minister of Economic Development Dmitry Volvach signed the action plan on implementation of 2022-2027 inter-regional cooperation program between the governments of Armenia and Russia.  

The plenary session was followed by round-tables on topics of cooperation between Armenia and Russia in digital format, development of tourism potential, etc.
