Armenian FM says ready to meet with Turkish counterpart

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 18, ARMENPRESS. Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan says he is ready to meet with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu.

“We are interested in the successful end of the dialogue”, the Armenian FM said at a press conference today, commenting on the statement of the Turkish FM who said that he is ready to meet with the Armenian FM. “Any meeting that will help achieve that successful end, of course, can take place. I have never opposed such a meeting”, he added.

The FM, however, noted that during those meetings the sides must sincerely take serious steps for the establishment of diplomatic relations and the opening of the border between the two countries.

“I reiterate, I am ready for such a meeting, I hope that meeting will eventually register tangible results if it takes place”, he said.
