situation

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 19, ARMENPRESS. A citizen died in hospital in Artsakh. It was impossible to transport the latter to Yerevan, because the Azerbaijanis have blocked the Goris-Stepanakert road for 8 days, ARMENPRESS was informed from Artsakh Public TV Company.

The patient had undergone hemodialysis courses for more than 15 years and had to be transferred to another medical center. Another patient in need of urgent heart surgery was transported by ambulance, accompanied by the International Committee of the Red Cross, Russian peacekeeping troops and the police through the Lachin Corridor, first to the Medical Center of Goris, and then to the Nork-Marash Cardiology Clinic.

Although it was possible to transfer that particular patient to Yerevan, there are many patients in Artsakh Republican Hospital who cannot be transferred to Yerevan. At the moment, 92 patients are receiving inpatient treatment in the hospital, 11 are in the intensive care unit, 4 of them are in critical condition. The same situation is in "Arevik" Children's Medical Center, where there are 12 children in the Resuscitation, Intensive Care and Neonatal Department. The condition of one 4-month-old child in the medical center is extremely serious, according to the executive director of the medical center, the baby’s life is in danger. There is an urgent need to move to Yerevan.
