Trade turnover between Armenia and other EEU countries grew over 90% - Pashinyan

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 3, ARMENPRESS. Despite the geopolitical tensions mutual trade in the Eurasian Economic Union continues to display positive dynamics, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said in his speech at the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council session in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

“Trade turnover between Armenia and EEU countries in January-November of 2022 grew more than 90% compared to the same period of 2021 and totaled 4,6 billion dollars. Moreover, imports by origin of country of goods grew over 50%,” the Armenian PM noted.

He highlighted the need to create favorable conditions for businesses, elimination of obstacles and increasing cooperation in entrepreneurship.

PM Pashinyan attached importance to swiftly developing and adopting the legal acts aimed at the implementation of financial support mechanisms for industrial cooperative projects that have integration potential.

He said that the development of a competitive industry in the union is entirely conditioned with the level of technological independence and the dynamics of introducing new technologies.
