military operations, warns PM

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 21, ARMENPRESS. The establishment of the ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh doesn’t mean that Azerbaijan no longer seeks to drag Armenia into military operations, PM Nikol Pashinyan warned Thursday.

Speaking in a live address, Pashinyan again said that one of the goals of the Azeri attack in Nagorno-Karabakh is to drag Armenia into military operations.

“This also seeks to create chaos in Armenia. The fact that a ceasefire is established in Nagorno-Karabakh doesn’t mean that this no longer on the agenda of those who had brought it to the agenda,” Pashinyan said.

The Prime Minister again underscored that Armenia had no involvement or participation in the negotiations of the ceasefire terms.

“We were aware that such a process was taking place but we didn’t have any participation. And I have expressed my bewilderment about this process in terms of it mentioning the withdrawal of the units of Armed Forces of Armenia from Nagorno-Karabakh, whereas we’ve numerously said that Armenia doesn’t have an army in Nagorno-Karabakh,” Pashinyan said.
