YEREVAN, OCTOBER 17, ARMENPRESS. SYNERGY International Systems, a leading company in IT sector, has already its office in Gyumri city of Armenia.

The solemn opening ceremony of SYNERGY International Systems Company took place on October 17 at Gyumri Technology Center. Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies of Armenia Vahan Martirosyan, Shirak Governor Hovsep Simonyan, Gyumri Mayor Samvel Balasanyan, representatives of the IT sector were present at the ceremony.

Established in 1997 and headquartered in Washington, Synergy International Systems, Inc. (“Synergy”) is a global software company that empowers organizations to become more data-driven in achieving their impact.

Since the founding, organizations in more than 60 countries have used its products and services to improve information management, decision making, service delivery, and organizational effectiveness.

The company delivers service to governments, international organizations, non-profits, and the private sector all over the world.

Opening an office of Synergy in Gyumri is a very strategic step for developing Gyumri’s IT sector. Currently 23 companies operate at Gyumri Technology Center (GTC), established by the Enterprise Incubator Foundation, the Government of Armenia and the World Bank,. The mission of the GTC is to turn Gyumri into a regional and international center of information and high technologies by creating such a developing environment of opportunities and services that will contribute to the creation of new jobs and will support the talented young people and organizations to implement innovative business ideas contributing to the sustainable development of the region. The goals of the Center include development of technical and business skills, promotion of technological entrepreneurship, commercialization of innovative research undertakings, creation of new technology companies, attracting of foreign investment and others.
In general, GTC is aimed at assisting not only in the development of IT industry, but also in the city’s general progress and improvement of investment attractiveness. In order to provide mass employment in the region, it is also planned to develop such areas as tourism, local industry, jewelry making, etc.
It is a center for new technology, where ideas become reality, skill development and education create excellence.
