Premier Karapetyan meets with Georgian-Armenian community

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 24, ARMENPRESS. On the second day of the official visit to Georgia, the Armenian delegation led by PM Karen Karapetyan visited the Heroes' Square, Tbilisi and laid flowers at the monument, “Armenpress” was informed from the press service of the Government of Armenia.

Afterwards, Karen Karapetyan headed to the Saint George Church in Tbilisi, where he was met by His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia and representatives of the Armenian community in Georgia. In the backyard of the church Karen Karapetyan laid flowers on the tombs of famous Armenian military commanders and Sayat Nova. Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan offered his prayers and wished the delegation led by Premier Karapetyan strength and vigor. The Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia underlined that they believe in the success of the Cabinet headed by Karapetyan. The Armenian Premier also visited Saint Etchniadzin Church in Tbilisi and laid flowers at the monument eternalizing the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide of 1915 and later met with the representatives of the Armenian community.

The Head of the Executive detailed on the results of the talks with Georgian leadership, assessing them as meaningful and constructive. “We agreed that Armenia will make use of the Georgian practice and Georgia will make use of the Armenian practice in IT sphere. This constructive visit encourages and obliges me”, Karen Karapetyan said, adding that they offered the Georgian side to use Armenia to enter the EAEU market.
