YEREVAN, MARCH 22, ARMENPRESS. Finance Minister Vardan Aramyan says 6% high economic growth registered in January-February 2017 is quite a good figure, reports “Armenpress”,

During a meeting with reporters on March 22, the Minister said the fields, such as industry, continue showing high growth rates, higher than 10%.

“The other sectors, which as well greatly contributed to the economic activity growth, are services and the trade. The trade in 2016 was negative, but starting from October, these negative growth rates changed, and we ended the year with a positive trend. In January-February, 2017 we have a real increase in trade volumes, 9.6%. This figure tells us that the deep decline of demand we had during the last 2 years due to a decline in transfers, seems has stopped and now the picture is different”, the Minister said.

He added that display of public revenues is realized since November last year which means that there are positive developments.
