YEREVAN, MARCH 22, ARMENPRESS. Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Armen Papikyan received on March 22 the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Israel to Armenia Eliyahu Yerushalmi (residence in Jerusalem) on the occasion of delivering the copies of the credentials, “Armenpress” was informed from the press service of the MFA Armenia.

Greeting the guest Deputy FM Papikyan noted that Armenia is interested in developing mutually beneficial relations between Armenia and Israel and hoped that Ambassador Yerushalmi will have his important contribution to the expansion of cooperation between the two states.

The interlocutors highlighted the activation of political dialogue between the two states, expansion of legal framework and the deepening of trade and economic ties. The sides stated with satisfaction the active cooperation between the parliamentarians of both countries.  

The situation in the South Caucasus and the Middle East was touched upon inter alia, and ensuring peace and stability in these regions was highlighted. The sides exchanged ideas over the existing problems and prospects of their normalization.
