YEREVAN, MARCH 27, ARMENPRESS.  The OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs are well-informed on what really goes on in Nagorno Karabakh conflict zone, “Armenpress” reports acting American Co-Chair Richard Hoagland told reporters in Yerevan on March 27, commenting on the remark that the Co-chairs always put a sign of parity between the conflicting sides when everyone knows which side incites tensions.

“You say that our statements are not addressed. We are well-informed on what really goes on, but as international mediators we have to keep some distance not to offend any of the sides since in that case our mediatory credibility can be harmed. We do not want that door to be shut, we want that door to always remain open”, Hoagland said.

He added that the mediators must always be cautious in their public remarks even if behind closed doors they say that they know what has really happened. Hoagland clarified that targeting one of the sides in the statements may lead that side to announce that it does not trust the Minsk Group Co-chairmanship format and does not want to negotiate under their mediation.
