YEREVAN, APRIL 24, ARMENPRESS. The Pan-Armenian Orchestra is the symbol of our unity, Sergey Smbatyan – artistic director and general conductor of the State Youth Orchestra of Armenia, told Armenpress.

“I wait for the concert of the Pan-Armenian Symphony Orchestra with great responsibility and emotions. On April 24 we will present the Armenian people’s collective power. The Pan-Armenian Orchestra is the symbol of our collectivity. This not only covers our creative, performance potential, but also a number of key ideas, the idea of unity and cooperation. We individually may reach certain achievements, however, the achievements are more visible when we act together, our goals are greater and easily accessible if there is a team work. The Pan-Armenian Orchestra is this unity. Each artists from different parts of the world brings his/her dedication to the Fatherland”, Sergey Smbatyan said.

By the initiative of the Culture Ministry, the traditional “Pan-Armenian Orchestra” project gathers 70 Armenian professional musicians from 20 countries. On April 24 they will perform exclusively the works of Armenian composers. Sergey Smbatyan is one of 5 conductors who will head the concert on April 24.
