STEPANAKERT, MAY 23, ARMENPRESS. The Defense Ministry of Artsakh Republic told Armenpress on May 22 and overnight May 23 the Azerbaijani side violated the ceasefire regime over 100 times by firing more than 1600 shots from various caliber small arms at the Armenian positions in the Artsakh-Azerbaijan line of contact.

Moreover, the Azerbaijani forces also fired D-44 cannon (9 shells) at the eastern direction, and 82 mm mortar (9 shells) at the north-eastern direction of the line of contact.

The Armenian side suffered no casualties as a result of the Azerbaijani ceasefire violations.

The Defense Army forces of Artsakh took countermeasures to suppress the Azerbaijani activeness and continued conducting the reliable protection of military posts.
