YEREVAN, MAY 23, ARMENPRESS. Newly appointed Ambassador of Belgium to Armenia Jean-Arthur Régibeau presented the copy of his credentials to Deputy Foreign Minister Karen Nazaryan on May 23, press service of the Armenian MFA told Armenpress.

The Deputy FM congratulated Jean-Arthur Régibeau on his appointment, wished him success in his mission and expressed hope the Ambassador will have his key contribution to the comprehensive development of the Armenian-Belgian relations.

The Belgian Ambassador thanked for the reception and wishes, stating that he will make all efforts to boost the bilateral ties and rise to a new qualitative level.

During the meeting the Armenian-Belgian relations’ agenda issues were discussed, including also the development of inter-parliamentary ties and the expansion of trade-economic relations.

The Deputy FM Nazaryan presented to the Ambassador the Armenia-EU cooperation’s recent developments. The sides exchanged views on the prospects of multilateral cooperation with the EU states, in particular with Belgium.

At the meeting the sides also discussed the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement process.
