New agreement between Armenia and EU to open new cooperation prospects

YEREVAN, MAY 25, ARMENPRESS. The European Parliament is enthusiastic over the initialing of the new EU-Armenia Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement and is ready to have an active involvement in the process, Chairman of Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament David McAllister told the reporters on May 25.

“This agreement will be the basis for deepening our relations and will open new prospects for cooperation and development. You can expect the active participation of the European Parliament, since the consent of the parliament will be required in the final stage”, “Armenpress” reports  McAllister saying.

He added that Armenia is an EEU member state and at the same time signs this ambitious agreement. “We express full support to this agreement and we are convinced that shared values must serve as basis for our future cooperation”, he concluded.
