YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 21, ARMENPRESS. Konstantinos "Kostis" Stephanopoulos, former President of Greece, passed away November 20 aged 90. According to Washington Post, Stephanopoulos died from complications of pneumonia.

Stephanopoulos served two consecutive terms as President of Greece, from 1995 to 2005. Prior to his Presidency, held various governmental positions – Prime Minister, Trade Minister, Interior Minister, Social Services Minister.

Until now he is considered to be the most beloved and respected President in Greece.
