YEREVAN, MAY 27, ARMENPRESS.  During a press conference in ARMENPRESS, American musician Daniel Decker said he wants to visit Nagorno Karabakh and give a concert there. He says he is not worried about the criticism of the Turks and Azerbaijanis.

“I don’t care of it, I only care for the truth. We know the truth about the Armenian Genocide and about Nagorno Karabakh. We know, the Armenian Genocide did happen and Nagorno Karabakh is Armenian land. History is on our side”, he said.

According to composer Ara Gevorgyan, Decker is frequently criticized by Turks.

Daniel Decker said during the years Armenia and Armenians became a part of him, and he feels Armenian. According to him, being Armenian isn’t just about blood, it is a philosophy and a feeling which exists in the heart.

“When I understood the spirit of Armenians, I started loving the Armenian people. I love Armenia. My friends are proud that I have ties with Armenia. I have performed Armenian songs during my concerts, which present the Armenian history. Upon listening to these songs, many people wish to learn more about Armenia. That’s the power of music. If I speak on the Armenian Genocide for 5 minutes, perhaps it won’t be remembered, but if I sing about it, it will be forever”, Decker said.
