YEREVAN, DECEMBER 7, ARMENPRESS. There is no monopoly in Armenia, Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan told reporters on December 7 in Gyumri.

The PM ensured that everyone can import whatever he wants. “There is no monopoly in Armenia, you can go and bring any product”, he said.

In response to a question whether a positive progress has been achieved in Armenia during this period, PM Karapetyan said it is a constant work in process. “It is necessary to constantly work in order to achieve positive progress. For instance, yesterday, someone managed to import a product which he didn’t import before, according to you, whether this is a progress or not? We work every day in order to ensure competitive, open, equal conditions. We need to carry out regular works. There has always been an instruction over anti-corruption, anti-monopoly policy in order the businessman not to face problems. In this regard there is a certain progress which is, of course, not enough, and we are going to move forward”, the PM said.
