YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 23, ARMENPRESS. Armenia’s Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies Vahan Martirosyan received Vice-Chairman of the Federation of Freight Forwarders’ Associations in India Shankar Shinde, press service of the Ministry told “Armenpress”.

The Indian businessman presented the Minister the overall picture of their activity and goals, stating that they are examining what kind of developments Armenia has in the logistics field. He said they want to carry out cargo transfers from India to Iran and other directions, and expect the Ministry’s assistance in these works.

Vahan Martirosyan said Armenia has an opportunity to carry out multimodal cargo transportations not only to Russia but also to Europe through both a road transportation and railway route.

The Minister expressed readiness to assist the process and help organizing the transportation route.
