Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022 live from Yerevan

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 11, ARMENPRESS. The 20th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest is taking place live from Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex in Yerevan, Armenia.

Armenia’s Nare will perform her song Dance! under number 15.

The 16 countries competing today are:

1) Netherlands: Luna – “La festa”

2) Poland: Laura Bączkiewicz – “To the Moon”

3) Kazakhstan: David Charlin – “Jer-Ana”

4) Malta: Gaia Gambuzza – “Diamonds in the Skies”

5) Italy: Chanel Dilecta – “Bla Bla Bla”

6) France: Lissandro – “Oh Maman!”

7) Albania: Kejtlin Gjata – “Pakëz diell”

8) Georgia: Mariam Bigvava – “I Believe”

9) Ireland: Sophie Lennon – “Solas”

10) North Macedonia: Lara feat. Jovan & Irina – “Životot e pred mene”

11) Spain: Carlos Higes – “Señorita”

12) United Kingdom: Freya Skye – “Lose My Head”

13) Portugal: Nicolas Alves – “Anos 70”

14) Serbia: Katarina Savić – “Svet bez granica”

15) Armenia (host country): Nare – “Dance!”

16) Ukraine: Zlata Dziunka – “Nezlamna”

The show is being hosted by singer Iveta Mukuchyan, songwriter and presenter Garik Papoyan, singer Karina Ignatyan and Robin the Robot. Iveta Mukuchyan represented Armenia in Eurovision 2016 with “LoveWave”. Garik Papoyan has written two Armenian Eurovision entries; “Not Alone” (2014) and “Walking Out” (2019). Karina Ignatyan represented Armenia in Junior Eurovision 2019 with “Colors of Your Dream”.

Robin the Robot, developed by Expper Technologies, is the first robot to host a Eurovision event.

Today’s show will include performances by Armenia’s Malena, who won the 2021 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with her song Qami Qami, and Rosa Linn, who represented Armenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with her song Snap, which has since become a hit.

The winner this evening will be determined by 50% jury voting and 50% online voting.

The first voting window was open from Friday 9 December at 20:00 CET and closed on Sunday 11 December at 15:59 CET just before Junior Eurovision went live from Yerevan.

People can even vote for their own country if it’s participating in the Contest.

The second voting window (15 minutes) will open after the last song (number 16 in the running order) has performed during the broadcast of Junior Eurovision 2022.
