YEREVAN, MARCH 6, ARMENPRESS. On March 6th, in the framework of Armenian Defense Minister's official visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, a formal welcoming ceremony was held at the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics of Iran in honor of Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, Suren Papikyan.

 According to the Armenian defense ministry, the ceremony included the presence of a military band and a guard of honour, with the national anthems of both countries being played.

 Prior to the commencement of the welcoming ceremony, Suren Papikyan laid a wreath and paid homage at the monument dedicated to Iranian soldiers who lost their lives in the war.
