Armenpress News Agency joins the Belt and Road Information Network
YEREVAN, MARCH 25, ARMENPRESS.   "Armenpress" news agency has officially become a member of the "Belt and Road News Network (BRNN)."

The Media Association, headquartered in Beijing, has been operating since 2019. Currently, 253 media organizations from 109 countries are members of the "Belt and Road Media Network."

"Zhenmin Zhibao" (translating to "People's Daily"), the official newspaper of the Chinese Communist Party, presides over the board of BRNN.

Expanding the scope of international cooperation, the membership of Armenpress in the structure will foster more intense partnership contacts with BRNN member media. This will also allow for the comprehensive information on Armenian events and Armenian-Chinese relations to reach a wider range of readers.

"Armenpress," the state news agency founded in 1918, is the only media outlet in Armenia that has more than three dozen cooperation agreements on information exchange with news agencies of countries such as Italy, Spain, Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania, Albania, Latvia, Lithuania, Argentina, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, China, Vietnam, Iran, and Israel.

The news content of Armenpress is translated into nine languages: Russian, English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Turkish, Georgian, Persian and Chinese.

The news agency, thanks to journalists working in correspondent offices both in Armenia and abroad, actively covers events of local, regional and international significance.
