Armenian PM receives brandy and wine manufacturers

YEREVAN, AUGUST 24, ARMENPRESS. A consultation headed by Armenian Premier Hovik Abrahamyan took place on August 24 with the participation of brandy and wine manufacturers. Issues related to grape purveyance and developments of the sphere were discussed at the meeting.

As “Armenpress” was informed from the press service of the Government of Armenia, Minister of Agriculture Sergo Karapetyan reported on the works for organization of the purveyance and mentioned that the Ministry actively cooperates with all the purveying organizations to organize the purveyance smoothly.

Afterwards, the representatives of the companies introduced their problems, proposals and remarks to the head of the Cabinet. Issues related to the interest rates of credits allocated to the enterprisers, simplification of tax and customs administration, amendment of legal framework were also discussed at the consultation.  

PM Abrahamyan highlighted the close cooperation between the Government and the private sector aimed at the development of the sphere, the constant measures taken in that direction and increase of production and export volumes. At the same time the PM urged the purveyance organizations to organize grape purveyance properly not to make troubles for the farmers. Hovik Abrahamyan mentioned that the Government is ready to support the purveyance organizations and farmers. “Our goal is to support the purveyance organization by all means, so as they are capable of purveying as much grape as possible to avoid making troubles for the farmers”, the PM mentioned.
