Snow expected in Armenia: October 18 the coldest day

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 15, ARMENPRESS. Arctic cyclone will penetrate into the territory of Armenia from the region of Ural on October 17 and will remain until October 19. As “Armenpress” was informed from the Facebook page of meteorologist Gagik Surenyan, temperatures will drop by 15-20 degrees in Lori, Tavush, Syunik Provinces of Armenia and in Artsakh, while in other provinces the temperature will drop by 8-10 degrees as compared to October 16.

Precipitation is expected in most of the regions from October 17-19. Heavy snowfalls, fog, low visibility, black ice are expected in the regions 1000 meters above sea level. Light snow or rain is expected in other regions, with the exception of Shirak Province, where the Arctic cyclone will be hardly felt. Light rain in expected in Yerevan.

The cyclone will alleviate starting from October 20 and the temperature will rise gradually. Gagik Surenyan calls on drivers to use winter tires on October 17-19.
