YEREVAN, OCTOBER 27, ARMENPRESS. Services amounting 802 billion and 115.3 million AMD were delivered to the population of the country during January-August, 2016. As “Armenpress” was informed from the National Statistical Service of Armenia, the indicator rose by 8% against the same period of the previous year. According to the data, financial and insurance services are the most demanded in Armenia which together amounted to 160 billion and 808.4 million AMD in the mentioned period. The indicator rose by 2.5% against the same period of the previous year. Financial and insurance services amounted to 20% of the gross volume of services.

At the same time, 153 billion and 315 million AMD worth services were delivered in the sphere of culture, entertainment and leisure. Over 140 billion and 107 billion AMD services were delivered in the spheres of information and communications and transport respectively.

Services delivered in the sphere of culture, entertainment and leisure rose by 33% against the first 8 months of the previous year. Services in information and communications declined by 0.5%, and rose by 23.7% in the sphere of transport.
