YEREVAN, MARCH 27, ARMENPRESS. Armenia’s Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies Vahan Martirosyan on March 27 held a meeting with Secretary General of the Intergovernmental Commission TRACECA (Transport Corridor Europe Caucasus Asia) Mircea Ciopraga, press service of the Ministry told “Armenpress”.

TRACECA is an international transport program involving the European Union and 14 member states of the Eastern European, Caucasian and Central Asian region.

Vahan Martirosyan is the Chairman of the TRACECA National Commission in Armenia.

Welcoming the guest, Minister Martirosyan attached importance to further boosting of multilateral economic partnership within the framework of TRACECA. He said Armenia is ready to assist the member-states on joining the signed agreements without any conditions.

During the meeting issues related to multimodal transportations and their development prospects were discussed.

In his turn, Mircea Ciopraga thanked for the cooperation and said the Intergovernmental Commission is ready to accept the proposals of the Armenian side aimed at developing the economic and transportation ties with the member-states.

Armenia is TRACECA’s next chairing country.
