YEREVAN, JULY 26, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Parliament Speaker Galust Sahakyan on July 26 received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kuwait Bassam M. Alqabandi whose diplomatic mission comes to its end in Armenia, press service of the Parliament informed “Armenpress”.

Welcoming the Ambassador Galust Sahakyan highly appreciated his activity in Armenia and said due to his work the Armenian-Kuwaiti relations achieved progress. The Parliament Speaker highlighted that in recent years the existing dialogue between the two states more intensified. He stressed the importance of the strengthening of the inter-parliamentary ties between the two states, as well as the development of cooperation in a number of fields. Galust Sahakyan expressed hope the existing friendly relations between Armenia and Kuwait will continue developing during the new Ambassador’s tenure in Armenia.

The Ambassador of Kuwait expressed gratitude for the warm reception and the productive cooperation, and said he leaves Armenia with warm memories.

Referring to the bilateral relations, the Ambassador ensured that they continue developing. He also stressed the importance of deepening the inter-parliamentary cooperation and the implementation of joint projects in a number of fields.

At the meeting the sides underscored the activity of the friendship groups, the bilateral contacts, the development of the trade-economic cooperation.

At the end of the meeting the Parliament Speaker wished the Ambassador success in his further activities.
