YEREVAN, MAY 25, ARMENPRESS. ‘Miss Armenia’ Beauty Contest will be held on September 15, reports Armenpress.

The organizers of the Contest told reporters 20-25 beauties at the age of 17-26 will be selected for participation in the Contest. The winner will have a chance to represent Armenia in international beauty contests, as well as will receive monetary award and gifts.

“The interested girls can register at our website until July 15 and take part in the preliminary stage which will be closed. Foreign participants can hold the preliminary stages online and can be invited to take part in the Contest. The preliminary stage for girls living in Yerevan will be held in the capital city, and for girls living in provinces it will take place in provinces”, Gohar Harutyunyan – President of ‘Miss Armenia’ Pan-Armenian Foundation, said.

She said they will focus on the intellect, Armenian look, smile and education of the participants.

“The participants can also be from poor families since we do everything for them not to spend money. We will provide them respective clothing, shoes and other things. If there are girls who will want to acquire clothes with their own resources, we will not hinder them”, Harutyunyan said.

The Ministries of Diaspora and Culture assist the organization and implementation of the Contest.

“There are many beauties in our country, but there are also numerous Armenian girls in Diaspora which can be properly represented to the world. The establishment of this structure will give a great impetus so that various beauty contests will be held in a more organized way”, Deputy Diaspora Minister Serj Srapionyan said.

The jury members are still unknown. The jury will be comprised of fashion, music and other fields’ representatives.
