YEREVAN, MAY 25, ARMENPRESS. The Cabinet today approved the bill on making changes in the laws ‘On Procurement’ and ‘On Budget System’,

Acting minister of labor and social affairs Artem Asatryan said it’s proposed to pass a bill regarding the procurement process, in order for the ministry to begin the acquisition of provision and installation services of hearing aids, orthopedic and rehabilitation items, which is done for the timely implementation of services for the disables through the ministry.

“There was a problem in this field because one of the organizations which was carrying out this process disputed this decision. It is being tried in the judicial body, and there is no confidence that disputes won’t happen again”, Asatryan said and proposed to allow organizing procurement of priority volumes, until the final decision is passed.

“Do I understand this correctly? You have analyzed, and the government has properly organized all functions on time? – the PM asked the minister, to which Asatryan responded positively.

“In this case, why have we reached this situation, if this picture happens every year all necessary means must be acquired from a single source”, Karapetyan said.
