Armenia and Iran to establish joint working group in agriculture field

YEREVAN, MAY 23, ARMENPRESS. Armenia and Iran will establish a joint working group aimed at protecting the interests of Iranian and Armenian businessmen and investors operating in agriculture sector, reports Armenpress.

Within the frames of the meeting of Armenia’s acting Agriculture Minister Ignati Arakelyan and Iran’s Minister of Agriculture Jihad Mahmoud Hojjati, Iran Ambassador to Armenia Seyed Kazem Sadjadi asked Ignati Arakelyan to form a working group which will be in contact with Iran’s Embassy and it will be possible to assist the Armenian and Iranian investors through it.

“Today I realized that Iranian businessmen are interested in Armenia and attended the meeting of the ministers. If we facilitate all conditions and problems for the businessmen of both countries, it will contribute so that much more businessmen will visit and carry out their activity in Armenia. Thus, we will be able to jointly develop the trade-economic relations”, the Ambassador said.  

The two Ministers expressed their support to the formation of the working group.

“We will definitely create the working group”, Ignati Arakelyan said.
