Armenian PM highlights importance of sending international observer mission to regions 
affected by Azeri occupation

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 28, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan received the delegation led by Chair of the France-Armenia Friendship Group in the French Senate Gilbert-Luc Devinaz, the PM’s Office said.

Welcoming the French delegation’s visit to Armenia, the Prime Minister recalled that he was in France on September 26 on a working visit, which he called the evidence of the unique bilateral relations.

PM Pashinyan expressed hope that the dynamics of mutual relations will contribute to further developing and deepening the Armenian-French mutual partnership.

The PM highlighted the close inter-parliamentary contacts, which, according to him, leave a major impact on the cooperation between the governments. He said that currently there are difficult geopolitical times and in this context emphasized the necessity for preserving the close bilateral and effective mutual relations.

Gilbert-Luc Devinaz highly appreciated the inter-parliamentary cooperation and stated that during the visit they were thoroughly introduced on the consequences of the aggression launched by Azerbaijan against Armenia’s sovereign territory. He said that they have closely followed the statements of the French President and the Armenian PM made on September 26 and highlighted the fact that the French side has mentioned in an addressed way the side that committed the aggression.

Prime Minister Pashinyan touched upon his discussions held with French President Emmanuel Macron and emphasized the key role of France in works aimed at overcoming the consequences of the aggression launched against Armenia.

He highlighted the importance of sending an international observer mission to the regions affected from the Azerbaijani occupation, as well as to the border zone which will help the international community get direct, but not mediated information.
